Arkansas Citizens First Congress Advocacy Day

  • Arkansas Education Association 1500 West 4th Street Little Rock, AR, 72201 United States (map)

Lawmakers need to hear from YOU!  The Arkansas Legislature is your government but too often grassroots people don’t participate in the process. You make a big difference when you attend, observe and speak on the issues you care about the most.

Children who depend on quality PUBLIC schools need you. Families who need economic opportunities and access to health care need you. Women who deserve equal pay and respect need you. Our state that squanders a fortune on an ineffective and discriminatory judicial system needs you. People across the state who are marginalized because they are poor, or because of the color of their skin or where they were born need you. Workers who deserve an honest wage and even the basic right to see their pay stubs need you. Arkansas's water and natural resources that are under assault need you.

The power of the Citizens First Congress has always rested in the ability of our membership to come together across regions and areas of interest to fight for positive reforms at the state legislature. We need you now more than ever to send a message to state lawmakers that we are united and standing together!

Join us at the capitol to speak to legislators about the importance of preserving and protecting Arkansas most valuable resources, the priority of providing every child equal access to quality public education, ensuring the rights of every marginalized citizen are valued and protected, and increasing economic opportunities to Arkansas low income communities and families.
