Youth and Education Advocacy Day at the Capitol

  • Arkansas Education Association 1500 West 4th Street Little Rock, AR, 72201 United States

Lawmakers need to hear from YOU!  The Arkansas Legislature is your government but too often grassroots people don’t participate in the process. You make a big difference when you attend, observe and speak on the issues you care about the most.

In recent years we have seen public education under attack by special interests attempting to privatize and profit off of your children’s future. These privatization scheme further marginalizes communities of color, and diminishes opportunities for low income students across the state.

Join us as we stand together to send a message to lawmakers that children are a priority. Public education should be adequately funded and every child in the state should have equal access to affordable and high quality pre-k education.

The power of the Citizens First Congress has always rested in the ability of our membership to come together across regions and areas of interest to fight for positive reforms at the state legislature. We need you now more than ever to send a message to state lawmakers that we are united and standing together!
