CFC Preliminary Convention

  • Arkansas State Capitol 500 Woodlane Street Little Rock, AR, 72201 United States (map)

We hope you are as excited about the CFC’s upcoming Pre-Convention and Convention as we are! This is your chance to give your input and help determine the CFC’s priorities for 2016-2017.

The Arkansas Citizens First Congress has been meeting to provide training to our membership and to develop strong campaigns around various issues that will be presented at the upcoming Convention. The Pre-Convention on April 23rd will give the caucuses a chance to prioritize issues and have a solid set of potential resolutions to vote on at the June 24-26 Convention.

Special interest groups are stronger than ever at the Capitol, and the people of Arkansas must work harder to make sure lawmakers keep the needs of hard working families in mind.

Our Preliminary Convention is scheduled for April 23rd from 8:00 am to 2:15 pm, at the State Capitol Building in Little Rock. Following the pre-convention, we will offer optional training sessions to help citizen advocates strengthen their efforts. Attendees can chose from sessions on How to Build a Strong Campaign, How to Build a Strong Media Campaign, How to Effectively Organize and Talk to your Legislator, and How to Understand Tax and Budget Issues.
