Dear Friend,

The State Board of Education voted today to review the LISA and eStem charter expansion. We want to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who contacted board members and let them know how important this review is to our community. ‎Your Voice Counts!‬

Executive Director Bill Kopsky spoke at the board meeting today, and you can read the full letter he wrote to board members here. (

Today's decision is just the first step to ensuring every child in Little Rock has an opportunity to learn. Now we need parents, educators and advocates to unite. CLICK HERE to RSVP to (‪#‎StandForARKids‬ ( (

These proposed charter expansions will remove 3,000 students from LRSD, cause a massive disruption, force the closure of numerous schools across the district and the layoff of hundreds of teachers and staff.

At this vulnerable time in LRSD's history, it could well spell the end of the school district. We believe a great community needs a great school system and that LRSD is on the path to getting there! Please join us to #StandForARKids. (
